We're Saving Lives
In 2024, 39% of LGBTQ youth and 50% of transgender and nonbinary youth seriously considered suicide. That is why Amor Para Todos (APT), which means “Love for All,” was founded in 2019 – to save the lives of LGBTQIA+ youth. Our Petaluma-based organization has authentically grown into a community mission to save and serve those in the Sonoma County LGBTQIA+ community.
Even with the most open minded and non-judgmental school staff and community members, there is a lack of education to be able to teach and support LGBTQIA+ folks. That can and does contribute to the alarming suicide, mental health crisis, and quality of life statistics that impact LGBTQIA+ youth. That is why intervention education in schools and communities is vital and life-saving.

APT's Mission and Vision
Mission: to join with schools and communities in an innovative, intersectional approach to cultivate more gender and LGBTQIA+ affirming environments for our youth. We believe our work will be the early intervention that can serve as a catalyst to change systematic invisibility for LGBTQIA+ youth.
Vision: that all people, regardless of gender and sexual orientation, feel safe and comfortable to be their true authentic selves and express themselves freely, and are supported and treated with respect.
When people can be their true authentic selves in a safe and respectful environment, we will see reduced mental health disparities, improved wellness, and strengthened social connections. We are working to support that.

APT is Working With School Districts and Communities in Sonoma County & Beyond
APT is working with school districts and communities in Petaluma, Cotati, Rohnert Park, and Santa Rosa. We are excited to continue expanding in other school districts, communities & states. Our origin and focus started in the elementary student school age realm. This still is our focus, but we are also expanding to support all LGBTQIA+ age students & folks.
We are excited to continue collaborating in leading this important movement to model, educate, and advocate for LGBTQIA+ folks. See our Projects page for more information on our current projects.
With gratitude,
APT members
